So I'm using a jumper t lite and rxsr receiver. According to Oscar Lang your distance doubles every 6db you drop and he says at 38db you begin to lose signal. I would assume I could safely set my warning from 45db to 42db and my critical to 40db. Logic suggests I can almost double warning range safely. I get warnings in total open space at about a kilometer with 45db warning. I'd like to hear what warning values you run.

The problem is you're on FrSky lol. I would failsafe just powerlooping a parking garage or a building when I had an R-XSR. I went to Tracer, then Crossfire and now ELRS.
How are your antennas mounted? You really have to mount them with some separation to get diversity between them and if they're close to or on any carbon you get greatly reduced range.
1KM is pretty good for FrSky to be honest.
I haven't tested yet. I don't want to be responsible for a runaway. I did test on a mobula 6 and I got telemetry lost without warnings but, the rssi drops so fast from being super short range receiver.
My warnings with a r-xsr is about the same and ive never touch my original telem warning but seeing your post. Im gonna be a follower today and set mine the same as yours and hopefully It will be less warnings
